Seminar is designed and intended for entry level insurance professionals who encounter concept of tehcnical provision from various perspectives in their daily routines. Nature and purpose of key non-life insurance technical provisions (UPR, OCR, URR, etc) will be reviewed, as well as impact of establishment and movements of technical provisions to financial statements illustrated. The most widely used valuation methods of outstanding claims reserve (namely IBNR) will be covered with special emphasis laid on practical application and method specific advantages and disadvantages.
